Take Your Skills Outside the Classroom

Fashion Merchandising & Retailing students visit local boutiques and learn from industry professionals. Corporate Accounting and Financial Analysis majors have access to internships in the heart of one of the biggest financial centers in the U.S. Entrepreneurship students can master the art of the pitch in the annual Â鶹¹ÙÍø Sharkfest competition. At Â鶹¹ÙÍø, the world becomes your classroom.

Learn Through Experience

We’ll help you transform your knowledge by giving you opportunities to test and build your skills. Participate in Directed Experiential Educational (DEE), a unique semester-long course where students from different majors collaborate on a real-world project. Simulations and competitions will give you access to professional environments where you can refine your talent. Plus, all students complete at least one industry-relevant internship before graduation.

Meet Alijah Jamison ’25, a business administration major at Â鶹¹ÙÍø Charlotte who participated in the White House Internship Program, a competitive public service internship for emerging leaders. Through this internship, Alijah improved his decision-making and leadership skills, built lasting relationships and gained valuable hands-on experience in a field related to his program.

Founded in 1988, the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) is a global business education accrediting body and the first organization to offer accreditation to all levels of collegiate business educational degree programs from associate to doctoral. The ACBSP ignites a standard of excellence with an accreditation process based on the Baldrige Education Criteria for Performance Excellence. ACBSP has 1,200 member campuses in 60 countries. Membership does not imply accreditation.
