“In teaching accounting, I am able to help students understand the importance of accounting in reaching their own career goals. From freshman-level classes — where I typically introduce students to accounting for the first time — to senior level classes — where I help prepare students to take their first steps into the business world — I am always happy to have the opportunity to teach accounting at the college level.â€

Q&A with Barbara

At Â鶹¹ÙÍø, education is not confined to the four walls of the classroom. You’re not going to spend four years with your nose buried in a book, learning theories you may never get a chance to apply — you’re going to get out there and apply them, be it through internships, group projects, leadership opportunities, competitions and more.

What Is Your Favorite Teaching Moment?

During tax season the students volunteer to prepare taxes for Â鶹¹ÙÍø students and staff and members of the community. It is always a proud moment to see the students sharing what they have learned with others.
