Emily Reaves is an instructor in the College of Hospitality Management at Â鶹¹ÙÍø & Wales University, Charlotte, North Carolina. She started at Â鶹¹ÙÍø & Wales University, Charlotte as faculty in August 2018 and instructs courses including Managing the Guest Experience, Sustainable Hotel Support Operations, Revenue Management, and Leading Service Excellence in the Hospitality Industry.
Prior to entering academia, Reaves worked eight years in the hotel industry, having worked operations at properties including the Myrtle Beach Marriott, Wentworth by the Sea Marriott, and Providence Marriott Downtown and the Greensboro Marriott Downtown. She also worked as a Customer Experience Measurement Consultant for Deloitte from 2016 to 2018. It was with this role as a consultant that Reaves got to observe and experience hundreds of hospitality properties all over the U.S. and in six other countries. Professionally, she specializes in the guest experience and how to create exceptional service encounters.
