Â鶹¹ÙÍø Adds Two New Staff Additions to the Communications Team

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — October 25, 2022 – Â鶹¹ÙÍø & Wales University has added two members to the University Communications team. Both positions focus on external communications and media relations.
Jennifer E. McGee will serve as the university’s director of external communications & media relations. McGee joins Â鶹¹ÙÍø with a track record of success in communications and higher education policy. She spent 20 years serving in various public affairs roles in Washington DC, including Senior Public Affairs Advisor at Holland and Knight, Senior Legislative Counsel at the National League of Cities, and Special Assistant at the White House in the Clinton Administration. Most recently, McGee was at the Rhode Island Commerce Corporation, leading their communications and media relations efforts. She is a graduate of Providence College.
Rachel Nunes joined the department in late April as the senior communications and media relations specialist. Before coming to higher education, she spent 5 years in journalism, most recently serving three years as Patch’s Rhode Island Editor. Prior to Patch, Nunes held positions in the Providence journalism market, including at WPRI. She is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island, with degrees in journalism, political science and French.
