Â鶹¹ÙÍø Chef Ray McCue Earns Master Chef Credential

Providence, R.I. – April 3, 2018 – Ray McCue, associate professor, Â鶹¹ÙÍø & Wales University College of Culinary Arts (Â鶹¹ÙÍø), has earned certification as a Worldchefs Certified Master Chef (W.C.M.C.) The credential, one of the highest within the culinary arts profession, is issued by the World Association of Chefs Society (WACS).

McCue, a resident of Cranston, R.I., was in India to receive the award in February during the Young Chef Olympiad competition, hosted by the International Institute of Hotel Management. He was there as coach and mentor to junior culinary student Owen Macca who competed in the event. McCue is an active member of the WACS and its humanitarian aid initiative, World Chefs without Borders. He has earned certification through the American Culinary Federation as a Certified Executive Chef, and through the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA) as a Certified Hospitality Educator. He was the 2015 ACF National Chef Educator of the Year.
