Labs & Facilities

Students working with a client in one of Â鶹¹ÙÍø’s dedicated OTD labs.

As an OTD student, you’ll practice your specialty in state-of-the-art labs, and even have access to the Physician Assistant program’s Cadaver Lab.

Lab spaces include the following:

  • The Occupations Lab comprises a living room, kitchen and bathroom for students to practice skills in a home-like environment
  • State-of-the-art driving simulator used as part of a comprehensive assessment to determine the extent that impairments in visual, cognitive and motor abilities may limit driving ability and performance
  • High-tech visual assessment and training equipment
  • 3D printers for the production of splints and adaptive equipment
  • Simulated hospital room for practice with the equipment encountered in hospital settings, including use of Laerdal Nursing Anne Simulator manikin
  • Simulated clinic environment, including state-of-the-art assessment tools, space for splint making, and physical agent modalities such as ultrasound and fluidotherapy
  • Pediatrics space featuring suspended equipment, rock wall, and other tools used by occupational therapists working with children
